British ET Marine Company launches sulfur dioxide detector

In order to comply with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization Convention on the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) 73/78 Annex VI, which came into effect on May 19, 2005, British ET Marine has introduced an air quality detector that can detect sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions from marine engines. .

This offshore sulfur dioxide (SeaSox) analyzer uses a UV fluorescence detection method to continuously test the diluted sulfur dioxide emissions.

It is understood that the detector is solid and compact, only requires compressed air to start, dilute the gas discharged from the ship with dry and clean compressed air, and then return it to the analyzer with an unheated sampling tube of up to 40 meters. The multi-sulfur detector is easy to install and use, and is equipped with reporting software to get the latest data from around the world.
